On the weekend of the 26th of August we headed to LV, hummm maybe we do travel a bit to much. Jayme was to baptize a good friend from Work. I had only met him once maybe twice and had never met his family so I was nervous about spending the weekend at there home. Boy was I wrong about it, it was such an amazing experience the Spirit was so strong in there home and I couldn't help but feel proud to see my husband in white baptizing this man who overcame alot and changed his life to join the church, we joked that he had more sins than his wife for Jayme had to dunk the poor man four times!!! Yes you read right four times :) The font was built funky so it barely hit the men mid thigh at best instead of at least waist high, and the chapel only had a 2x suit for the guy instead of 3x, he is no small man towering 6'3 and pushing 300 lbs!! So he didn't have sufficient water or the moving room in the small suit to bend much so it was tricky. But no matter what the way it was accomplished he was baptized and confirmed into this amazing Church and now preparing to baptize his own son in a few months and plan to seal his family for eternity in a years time, so amazing!
One thing that was a bit funny I feel needs to be blogged for the sake of memory, is the town they lived in is just outside of LV called Parump. Anyone around here knows that they are notorious for one thing well there is no way to politely say it so....Whore houses! And we had to pass a said Gentlemen's club on the way to the chapel and it was a castle themed building which when Leta spotted she squealed in Delight and clapped her hands pointing out she found a Temple!!! We where laughing so hard and Jayme calmly explained it wasn't for it had red cones on top and temples where white and although there was indeed worshiping going on inside it wasn't the kind we condoned or took part in :) and it took a bit for her to believe us LOL
All in all it was an amazing experience to experience the Gospel where the members are almost all Converts and have there share of Tattoos bearing the marks of lives changed and most have had tough lives and addictions to bear and overcome to embrace the Gospel and there testimonies where unshakable and firm.
Trying out a sushi and Hibachi Grill, We loved it! It took bit for Leta to relax she wasn't to sure at first

Mike and Didis Pope, Extreme opposites on size ( She is wearing the standard 8 yr suit)

It wouldn't be LV trip without the flea market and horse rides :) This time I scored some great industrial shelves for food storage!
