Queen Bee

I haven't posted just to brag for awhile so beware this is going to be full of how awesome my little one is and how she is such a genius, okay now you have been warned here it is..
Leta has defiantly reached the toddler stage in life and is spending her days contemplating the best ways to outsmart me and have a little fun

She has a new love of babies and will finally play with her doll Grandma Allen got her for her birthday and has me wrap her up so she can rock her and will break into tears of devastation when Shasta snatches her away. Anything mommy and daddy does she mimics, which often makes us laugh. For example the other day when her and daddy where dancing to music I am a nut came on and when he snapped along she squeezed her hand together trying to snap hers and when we sing BINGO she will clap along, it's so fun!
She has learned a love of books from me and enjoys her nightly cuddle and reading time together and I have just recently been finding her in her room with a couple books "reading" to herself or even Shasta, like I was saying about being a genius :)

Now she is a toddler she can do everything herself, at least she thinks so. She has to help pick out her clothes and during bath she needs a little soap to wash her feet and tummy with and she loves to wash her own hair now. If she finds a comb she will brush her hair (which she finally has enough to style a little with!) or toenail clippers she will pretend to cut them and Q-tips she will stick them up her nose ( I use them to pick out boogies) what can I say I am obsessed with keeping her well maintained and she has picked up on it, not a bad habit though, right?

Shasta remains her favorite around here, we have got an indoor kennel for Shasta but she has trouble finding alone time in it. Leta thinks its a playhouse just for her and its not unusual at all to see both chillaxin in it like the queen bees they are.

Some fun things that she has learned is a few new words mostly STOP or NO! She hears me telling Shasta that and will say STOP and pat her hip ( sign language for dog) poor pup just looks at her like what? Or if she catches her on furniture she pulls her off and says NO! She can be a bit bossy at times.
She can sign Milk (for her its also water or drink period) dog, Bath, Sleep and she is learning please now. She didn't like the sign for more or all done I guess because she just says moe for more and a dun for all done. Which between the signs and the few words she has learned we get a better understanding and less tantrums. And if they fail pointing is used and we play the guessing game until we pick the right thing she was pointing at.
Well I suppose I have rambled enough about her now so to close this novel I will post a few cute pics..

Halloween was allot of fun this year! Leta was really good about wearing her costume and keeping her "ears" on and I loved how well it turned out (My mom and I made it) I didn't see any sense in spending 30 bucks up town when I could make it for cheaper.
We didn't do allot of Trick or Treating just Grandparents and a few friends.
We where also able to go to the ward Halloween party and enjoy good food and games!

Wow I haven't been on in awhile so I guess I better post something.
About the only thing exciting going on around here has been the hunt and even that hasn't been all that exciting due to the fact that we only saw three bucks the entire hunt and was unable to get a shot at a single one :( Not to mention all the elk had disappeared. Despite that it was still a fun week, Jayme took the whole week off and we spent all but one night that week camping! Our new camper made it a whole lot more enjoyable.
Well I will get on Later on post pics for Halloween at least this catches you up a little :)

LoVEn LiFe

I figured I better get on here now the computar is fixed and give an update on the goings on around here.
Leta has been such a character lately. Overnight she has gone from being my baby girl to a headstrong toddler, I love it most of the time.
Some of her new tricks include rocking out to music I need to post a video of it its hiliraous she doesn't care the music anything from rock to hymns she starts moving her hands up and down and bobbin her head. She Loves to try and walk Shasta and will chase after her with the leash while tapping her hand on her thigh and cooing to her.
This morning she brought me her pj shirt she had been wearing I am still baffled how she got if off she has never tried undressing before!
She also has turned into a bit of a tom boy, loving to get down and wrestle with her daddy and puppy and has taken a liking to trucks and cars. I found one at the thrift store that was small and the top is soft and when pushed it makes driving noises screeches and crashes then later we found one in my moms toy box that was the same except a truck they are now her favorite toys. Watching her makes me wonder, where do kids all learn to make the vroom noise when they push cars around?
Anyway Jayme is getting back into the swing of routes and its getting easier for him though the longer hours and hard work still kick his butt at the end of the day I love him for providing so well for out little family.
Well I guess thats about it for now.. Oh wait, for anyway who doesn't already know my big Sis is expecting her fourth baby due in May, congrats Brown Family!!

There is one word for our life, BUSY! Between Jaymes long days and everyday chores and bills it has been hectic. Not to mention our double trouble team, Leta and Shasta. They are joined at the hip and perfect partners in crime, I am defintly out numbered! Maybe this will prepare me for more kids to come :)
Just for FYI our computar is having major problems so i might not be blogging as much..Well Good day everyone!

Snips and Snails and puppy dog tales...

Just to warn you the past couple of days we have been blessed with alot of changes and exciting events so this is going to be a longer post so grab a snack sit back and enjoy....

On Friday we decided to go on a quick camping trip. By the time we where loaded and ready to go it was late and we didn't roll into camp until 9:30 at night. Leta woke shortly after the tent was set up and the fire was blazing and was instantly enthralled with the fire and was determined to inspect it closer. None of us got sleep between the cold and Leta. She found the sitiution hiliraous, apparently the concept of sitting in a cold foriegn object with a lantern is to much fun for a one yr old. We spent the entire night convincing Leta to stop giggling and go to sleep. Imagine her delight when morning came and mommy didn't stop her from making dirt angels and sampling some of natures finiest dirt. Unfortuanly the batteries failed so there are no pics past the waking up pics :(.....Despite the cold, lack of sleep and swarms of flies and wasps it was a fun memeroble time as Jayme says "A bad day in the outdoors is still better than a good day indoors".

This now brings us to Sat. night. After I got home and enjoyed a nice hot shower I slipped away for a few hours and enjoyed the beautifull messages in the General Womens Broadcast. I especially enjoyed the Talk Mind The Gap. When I got home we had to run to Wal-Mart for some cat food, and it must have been destiney because we have finally found the puppy of our dreams. You really can find everything at Wal-Mart! Shasta is 3/4 Lab and 1/4 hound and has hunting in her blood, she is very obediant and calm not to mention very sweet tempered. A girl in our Sunday School class we teach came up with her name.

And to finally end this post is on sunday we went for a Sunday drive and ended up buying a really nice 18 ft. camp Trailer...I will post pics of that to real soon. Yes we "shopped" on Sunday, whoops.
